Flinders Cardiology is at the forefront of clinical and academic CMR in Australasia. Professor Selvanayagam heads a department of three CMR consultants, clinical and research fellows (usually 4-6 fellows in total at any one time). We have two state of the art MRI scanners (Siemens Aera 1.5T and Siemens Trio 3T) and generally perform about 25 scans per week. Our current analysis software is Circle by CMR 42 which is availiable on multiple workstations throughout the hospital. We run weekly clinical and research meetings and have an on going lecture program to enable formal accreditation of your training with SCMR.

We currently offer a funded one year clinical fellowship in CMR, suited to candidates following core cardiology training. This can be extended to a higher degree (MD/PhD) in CMR research. For further infomation, please contact Prof Selvanayagam. joseph.selva@health.sa.gov.au
