Echo
The Flinders Echo department is a private-public venture which means a bigger and more varied caseload to help educate you. Moreover, it enable us have state of the art technology and lots of it. The echo department is really the heart of cardiac services at Flinders; the echocardiologists are intimately involved in all the structural heart work in the catheter lab but also spend plenty of time in cardiac theatres. Stress echo is the standard non-invasive test for CAD at Flinders so there is no shortage of experience here either. We also have significant experience in 3D echo, tissue imaging and contrast echo. The Echo Department performs over 14000 TTE, 300 paediatric echos and 700 TOEs per year making us one of the busiest labs in Australia. There are multiple opportunities for education and research as well as potential exposure to Cardiac MRI and CT.
We offer a funded one year Echo Fellowship to suitable trainees. For more infomation, please contact Dr Majo Joseph. majo.joseph@health.sa.gov.au
