Cardiologist/Interventionalist
Sam is an interventional cardiologist with an interest in coronary artery interventions (stenting), non-invasive coronary angiography (cardiac CT) and trans-catheter management of heart valve disease.
He performs cardiac interventions at Ashford Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, and Flinders Private Hospital. Sam has published original scientific work in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Medical Journal of Australia, and American Journal of Medicine. He has been principal investigator in numerous clinical trials of cardiovascular therapies and supervises higher research degree students at Flinders University. Sam has completed fellowships at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston and Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne. He is a staff specialist at Flinders Medical Centre and senior lecturer at Flinders University.
