Geriatric Cardiology
Dr Josephine Harris (Jo)
(BMBS(Hons), FRACP FCSANZ) is a Cardiologist and Geriatrician working as a
cardiologist at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). Her
main clinical area of focus is Geriatric Cardiology, particularly heart
failure, management of older people with multiple comorbidities and frailty,
and assessment for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). At SALHN she
also reports resting echocardiograms, runs a Complex and Geriatric Cardiology
Consultative service for inpatients and is part of the TAVI Multidisciplinary
team. She is a Learning Coach for the MD medical student program in addition to
other teaching and supervision activities within the department of Cardiology.
She is a Deputy Chair of the Southern Adelaide Clinical Human Research Ethics
Committee and is the SALHN representative on the Health Advisory Council for
the South Australian Medical Education and Training Unit.
